I have spent two weeks in Ukraine, covering the conflict for newspaper for VG. A feature story about the mineral deal between US and Ukraine, where we visited the town of Zavally in the central parts of the country.
And we spent time in the Kramatorsk-area, meeting soldiers returning back to base front the frontline.
In Kyiv, we met Alyona and her daughter. They were separated by the war when Russia invaded eastern parts of Ukraine, before being reunited again. Alyona parents are still in russian terretories.
We also followed DJ Slava in Kyiv, where he works as a DJ at nightclubs and also helps funding and producing drones for the Ukrainian army.
